Day One: March 1st 2021

Having not ran properly in maybe a year (I know, I SHOULD be exercising more, but COVID just kinda messed all that up. Or that's my excuse anyway..) I wasn't expecting much from myself tonight.
Running gear on, hat on, off I went and promptly realised I left my water bottle in the car and that MAYBE I should have brought gloves with me. But it was too late, I was already on my way.
I decided that just for that extra little challenge (why did I feel the need to give myself and EXTRA challenge...) I picked a route that had a decent bit of an incline. And I felt it. My chest was not happy with me for majority of the time, but I trudged along, reducing to a walk where needed, and pushing through where I could.
24 minutes later, after nearly 3500 steps (honestly thought it was going to be more than that), I finished the loop back to my car after just over 3 kilometres. Not too bad if I do say so myself.
Back home now, dinner in the belly and cup of tea in hand, looking forward to the brighter evenings and to do it all over again tomorrow.
